What is an NHD Report?

Natural Hazard Disclosure (NHD) reports are used to specify whether or not a California property lies within a known hazardous zone. NHD reports assess areas that are prone to wildfires, flooding, dam inundation, tsunamis, and earthquakes, as well as regions on or bordering known fault lines. In the state of California, NHD Reports must be provided to prospective buyers looking to purchase in a hazardous zone. Real estate agents are required by California law to provide an NHD Report to their clients, so that they can make informed decisions.
